International Orthopaedic Moves

Several prominent American orthopaedic organizations are making significant strides internationally. In January 2023, a new clinic was opened in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, by Dror Paley, MD. Cleveland Clinic London inaugurated a 325,000-square-foot hospital in 2022, marking its expansion into England. In Ireland, UPMC has partnered with Mardyke Arena at University College Cork to establish a sports medicine clinic. Meanwhile, Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian have been running a surgical training program in Tanzania since 2008. Additionally, the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society has resumed surgical operations in Kenya after a three-year hiatus. These moves demonstrate a growing international presence and commitment to global healthcare.
